About Our College :

JNTU College of Engineering Pulivendula has been established in the year 2006. The college laid its foundation on 25th december 2005 in the hands of our beloved chief minister of Andhra Pradesh , Shri(Dr).Y.S.Rajashekhara Reddy garu. Since then the college has been nourished with his visionary guidance. The college started its first academic year with 5 branches of CSE,ECE,MECH,EEE, & BioTech. and an intake of about 300 students in the first batch. The first batch set a record in academic excellency. The second batch too was of about 300 intake for the academic year 2007-2008.

         The college is located at about 3 kms from Pulivendula town , 70 km from kadapa(Distt. capital city), 450 km from hyderabad, 250 km from bangalore & 300 km from Chennai. Pulivendula is well connected by roads to all major cities of the region (Hyderabad,Chennai,Bangalore and Vijayawada).The nearest railway head is at Muddanur(35 km) with regular trains connecting Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai.

         The college is spread on a lavishing rural atmosphere away from the pollutions of cities on about 200 acres.It has come up with an academic block inagurated on 25 dec 2006, later one more academic block and an administrative building came out. Recently a library, a guest house and hostels along with two more academic blocks and staff quarters were added to the college infrastructure.

         The college also boasts of inagurating the Statue of Shri.Jawaharlal Nehru, after whom the college has been named, first among all the constituent colleges of JNTU.

ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING:

JNTU College of Engineering, Pulivendula is established in the year 2006 as one of the constituent colleges of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The first Academic Block of the college was inaugurated on 25th December 2006 by Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Hon’ ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The college is located on Pulivendula- Muddanur Road, 3 K.M away from Pulivendula town, 75 K.M from Kadapa Town & 36 K.M from Muddanur Railway Station.

The College has vast campus sprawling over an area of 163 acres, in a peaceful atmosphere away from the dust and pollution. The college provides hostel accommodation for 400 boys and 300 girls. In the 1st phase of infrastructure development, Administrative Building, two Academic Blocks, Library Building, two Hostel Blocks, Guest House, Principal’s Quarter, Staff Quarters (A type) and Laboratories were constructed, and are being utilized for Academics, Administration and Laboratories.

In the 2nd phase of infrastructure development, two more Academic Blocks, two Hostel blocks (one for boys and the other for girls), Mega mess for boys and Mega Mess for girls and Staff quarters (B type) are completed.

In the 3rd phase of infrastructure development, two more Academic Blocks, two Hostel Blocks, Auditorium, Amenities centre (Canteen, Bank and Post Office) and Sports Complex will be constructed.

Though the college was newly established, it is emerging as one of the colleges to bridge the gap between the needs of the competitive world and the academics. The college is fortified with traditional values and dedicated spirit of the staff and the students. With that team spirit, it has got good result in the University examinations.

The labs of all the departments are well equipped with latest technology.

With in the short period of time, it has started Training and Placement cell which was inaugurated by Prof. K. Rajagopal, Vice-Chancellor, JNT University, Hyderabad during November 2007. The cell arranges training and personality development programs for their career development.

A separate library building is available in the campus with sufficient number of technical books, journals, Magazines and audio visual equipment. It can accommodate about 200 students in the spacious halls. The following courses are offered in the college, with an intake of 60 students per branch.

1. B. Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. 2. B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering. 3. B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. 4. B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering 5. B. Tech in Bio-Technology. It is proposed to start B.Tech in Civil Engineering and Bio-Technology Research Centre in future.
